Bella and Bubba – Connecticut Pet Photography

Meet Bella and Bubba, the English Bulldogs!  We had such an awesome time with these guys.  They are hilarious!  Just picture two stocky meat-ball-of-a-dog, dogs!  They kept us entertained the entire time we were photographing them!  By the time we were done, we were covered in a slobbery-mess, grass-stained from head to toe, and smelling like liver treats…and we’d have it no other way!  We LOVE what we do!

Whenever we get asked to photography puppies, we go CRAZY!  We love puppies!!!!  We actually love all dogs, but PUPPIES…OH.MY.GOODNESS!!!!!   They are so adorable – they are so bouncy and playful, and a little bit goofy (OK, maybe a LOT goofy!)…but the problem is, they grow up SO fast – their only fault, really!!!  This time, we were asked to photograph this adorable Golden Retriever puppy named Murphy, and his handsome brother Atticus, the Pug.

Murphy is only three months old!!!!  His paws are huge!  He’s going to be a BIG boy!!!

Atticus is about 9 years old…and he definitely puts up with his little brother’s “shenanigans” like a trooper!  He is also extremely affectionate…he kept snuggling up to me during the shoot!  Awww!

We also managed to get a few photos of their sister-cat, Stormer.  She actually wanted NOTHING to do with us….hahaha!  It was like she was in the “witness protection program”…she just wanted to hide, and avoid the paparazzi at all costs!  Luckily for us, we have long lenses…Take THAT, Stormer!  Isn’t she gorgeous!?  Look at those eyes!

After some play-time outside…we moved indoors, so the pups could cool-off (and wrestle a little!)

I think we may have tuckered them out! (But, in actuality….I think they tuckered US out!)

Thanks guys!  We hope you had as much fun as we did!

The Fast and the Furriest! Connecticut Pet Photography

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve posted anything to the blog…..but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy.  It’s just been a crazy summer and we haven’t had time to post much.  Well, yesterday, we ventured out to Edgerton Park in New Haven to offer a “mini-session” to anyone who was interested in pet photography.  Surprisingly, there weren’t too many people in the park.  I think the weather was a little “iffy” as it was threatening to thunder and shower, late afternoon.  We did, however, meet a couple of great dogs!!!

Here are a few photos of Mona, one of our new furry-friends…

Harlow the Hippo Girl – CT Pet Photography

I know it’s been forever since I’ve posted anything on the blog.  But I wanted to share a few images from last night’s shoot with Harlow the Hippo Girl.  Well, no…she isn’t exactly a hippo — But, because some cruel person cut her ears off (attempting to do a home crop-job) she is now left with tiny little ears, like a hippo!  Hence the name….hippo girl.  When I first laid eyes on her, I couldn’t believe how tiny she was!  She is such a petite little thing…but her butt is full of muscle!  She immediately warmed up to me (I think because she found my treat bag! haha!!)  Harlow would make an excellent hiking partner, or would be just as happy hanging-out with you on the couch!  She is eager to please, and wouldn’t mind a belly rub (or two) and some tasty treats in return for her loyalty.  She is just a sweet cuddle-bug!!!!

Harlow is available for adoption through Karuna Bully Rescue. I absolutely LOVE this girl!  Read more about her here….but grab a Kleenex!

Our Jamie’s 7th Birthday

Today is my baby girl’s 7th birthday. Jamie completely changed my life when we adopted her as a puppy!!! She came into our lives shortly after my dad passed away. It was a very sad, and extremely difficult time for me. My dad was my hero, my friend, my biggest fan, and then he was gone…just like that. But after we adopted Jamie…my spirits were lifted and my life was forever changed!!! She filled a void in my heart, she made me a better person, she helped me realize the importance of animal rescue, AND she inspired me to create MUTTography Pet Photography!!! So in all actuality, Jamie really rescued me!!!

Happy Birthday, my beautiful girl!!!

Here’s a photo from 2006…about 4 months old.

And here she is on her 6th birthday, down at Lighthouse Point Park, New Haven CT.  I LOVE this dog sooo much!

Abbey the Cairn Terrier – CT Pet Photography

Every year, my mom asks me to take pictures of her dog, Abbey, for her annual Christmas card…and every year, this little-one gets more adorable (even though I like to call her a little stinker)!!!  This year we decided to go to Edgerton Park, in New Haven…it’s such a nice little park with beautiful trees, and a nice walking path!  There were still quite a few trees with glorious RED leaves on them, so we decided to take advantage of at least one shot!  And of course, we had to get her in the flower cart, and on the wrought iron bench.  She’s such a sport!  Ha!
